OSPA Elections 2026

OSPA Call for Nominations

The Oregon School Psychologists Association (OSPA) is currently seeking nominations for open board positions beginning July 1, 2026. These positions include:

  • President-elect (three-year sequence)
  • Social Media Director (2-year sequence)
  • Treasurer (3-year sequence)
  • Secretary (2-year sequence)
  • Director-At-Large (1 year)

More information about these offices can be located at the membership-approved version of the by-laws . You can also contact current Board members for further information.

To have your name appear on the ballot, please email pastpresident.ospa@gmail.com before May 1, 2026. Please provide your name, current job title, current email address, and board position of interest. You may self-nominate and/or write-in you name on the ballot. Elected candidates will be notified in June.

Joining the OSPA Board of Directors is an excellent way to advocate for your profession, make a positive impact in school psychology in Oregon and nationally, collaborate with and build key partnerships, and serve the local school psychology community.  You can also earn five continuing professional development units serving in a professional organization leadership role as a board member.

Commitment: OSPA Board members attend Board Meetings, including a 1-day retreat in the summer (typically August) and plan to attend the annual Conference (in October over the Oregon Statewide Inservice day).  The summer retreat is important because it sets the stage for the year ahead and is your opportunity to meet board members.  Coming from a distance to attend the meetings?  We support your travel and offer virtual connections.

Committee Work: Each board member commits to working on a committee.  There are several different committee opportunities, and you can choose based on your strengths and interests.  Committee meetings are generally virtual.

Meeting Schedule:  The schedule is determined by the current president at the retreat each year, and the OSPA Board generally meets  5 times per year (2 in person including the retreat, 3 virtual).  OSPA offers some support for travel and virtual options are available for those who are unable to attend in person due to travel limitations.

Watch your email for your ballots in May.
